🇬🇧 The "Carski Dar" fortress group was established in 1912-1915 near the village of Brody. It consisted of Fort XV, defensive barracks and a traditor on the left flank and a point of resistance on the right flank. The area for additional defense was surrounded by barbed wire entanglements and reinforced with earth fortifications, trenches, trenches and artillery positions created in the surrounding forests. This group was built almost to the end as the only one in the Modlin Fortress before the start of World War I. This area was very good in tactical and strategic terms for both sides: the location of the fortifications in the middle of forest complexes on the Wkra river, the vicinity of the railway line allowing for the quick transport of armies, weapons, ammunition, supplies and artillery. During World War I, German-Russian fights took place due to the strategic nature of the area (the railway line allowed for the transport of weapons, ammunition and human reserves). On August 13-17, 1915, the Germans led an attack on the Golawice Fortifications and the "Carski Dar" group, the fights ended with the occupation of the fortifications and the region by German troops. On August 16, 1920, during the Polish-Bolshevik War, forts XIV, XV and XVI were attacked by the Red Army, but the Soviet attack failed, and the Poles conducted a counterattack, which ended with the Bolshevik army being repelled and the offensive developing towards Nasielsk and Serock. In the interwar period and later in the period after the end of World War II, the area was developed by the Polish Army for various purposes: mainly storage and testing.
